The School Of Hard Knocks

Hey guys, it's Rick with Elijah Tooling. Give me two minutes of your time and I'll make it worth it.

You know, I had something happen last week and I think of it as going to the school of hard knocks.

I don't know if you have ever had that happen to you when you were a kid, for example. Ya know? Dad takes you to the... What do they call it... The proverbial "woodshed", am I right?

Well, I got taken to the woodshed last week.

I can't get into the specifics of it.

But, the reality is I had a conflict with a vendor, and he laid me out man.

And, he was kinda right, and I was kinda wrong, and maybe right... Have you ever been in that kind of scenario?

Well, my tip for the day is that you might go home smartin, and I did... I kept thinking about that conversation.

I kept thinking about what was wrong.

I even asked my wife to pray with me because I needed some kid of resolution from it. But, here is what happened...

After I got to thinking about it, and let it gel into my soul a little bit... I realized something.

I can learn something from this. And, I did. And, that's my tip.

Things that hurt, always or almost always, you can learn something from them.

Give it a little bit of time.

Let the pain go away. And then, take something positive from it.

Because, you can and you will, if you'll let it.

Don't let it get into bitterness.

Don't let it fester.

Just let it do its work.
