Continuous Machining

Continuous Machining

    • Titanium Window
    • Frame
    • Part geometry in center area required .34" clearance.
    • IVB fasteners made it possible for continuous machining in this area.

In this illustration the part geometry is such that a wheel cutter must be used to form it (see Section A-A).

The use of Invert-A-Bolt™ fasteners allowed the continuous machining of the part in this area versus making multiple stops for numerous clamp changes.

The unique characteristics of the Invert-A-Bolt™ fasteners allowed machining right over the top of them. Recurring clamp changes were eliminated, providing a substantial savings in setup times.
