Hey guys, Rick here from Elijah Tooling.
Hey ho ho ho! Its Christmas time! God bless you and your families and I hope you have had a great year. You know, we have had a pretty good year. We have had our ups and downs and I bet you have to.
So, with that said, I wanted to mention our Incredi-Vise™ Modular Vise to you. We have got a big reveal coming in the next quarter! That's all I am going to say but, I wanted to let you know that something is coming. So look out for that!
So yesterday, I had the opportunities to talk to one of our distributors and we got to talking about a level playing field and I wanted to spend just a few minutes talking about what we do here at Elijah Tooling and why it is so important to us.
So, when I talk about a level playing field, we have the unique opportunity because we have patented products, to create a playing field. In other words, we have distributors and customers that come to us for pricing and we could choose who we wanted to do business with if we wanted to. In other words, we could pick competitors and raise one one over the other just by simply giving them a different price.
But, as I explained to this distributor, we do not do that. The way we do that is because we have integrity at our core. It is part of our mission, it is part of our vision, it is part of everything that we are. So, when we think about this word "integrity," we think of it's derivation which is integer. It comes from whole; being whole. So, we look at the world in a way that we do not want to dividing our attentions? No that's not the right word. We do not want to be divisive when we are dealing with all of our customers and our distributors. Even our vendors; we treat our vendors in a different way to. We won't take a quote from them and then use it against them by providing it to somebody else.
We just do not see that as right. It is not creating a fair playing field and so, this is the way we look at life. This is the way we do things at Elijah Tooling. I am reminded of a saying and I actually thought it came from the Bible and it doesn't. You might know about this saying, it is "Neither a borrower or a lender be." Guess who said that? Well, I had to look it up. It is William Shakespeare.
The reality is he was right. We are to owe no man anything, and that is from the Bible, because in that circumstance, we no longer have to worry about who we are as individuals and, in a bigger sense, as a company.
So, thank you for taking this time to spend with me! Again, have a super, wonderful, marvelous and merry Christmas and holiday!
See you next time!
-Rick
